Photographer's Note

One of the pleasures to visit Hoi An, other than the splendid architecture and small town feeling, are the lively street scenes where so many things are going on. Among them, the street food vendors, selling fruits, veggies and ready to eat meals.

Although it was quite early, at a time when westerners would opt for croissants, pancakes, brioches, eggs and bacon, or a piece of bread with Nutella, vietnamese are ready for rice and meat, or the always very popular pho, a delicious noodle soup, no matter what the time of the day ( i have tried it more than once and soup is actually very good for breakfast!...).

In Montreal, the best pho is at Pho Lien on Côte-des-Neiges boulevard, a restaurant I used to go to 3 to 4 times a month to have their heavenly huge bowl of soup, the meal I miss the most from my hometown.... other than Schwartz's smoked meat.
