Photographer's Note

A proud young barber, his mate and clean cuts for Hanoian gentleman! This is a typical scene in the bustling old quarter of Hanoi with so much of interesting sights to make pictures. No need for barber shop buildings there and I wanted to show that many aspects of life happen on the streets in one of the oldest neighbourhoods.

He gave me a very good smile after seeing me taking his pictures

Hello Abmdsudi,

This reminds me of Pakistan, where street barbers were commonplace! And, why not, no expensive building, plenty of passing trade!
This is a fine close-up and I love how the three figures are all in the same plane, like one continuous sculpture!

Now that is something I need - a street barber as our current lockdown includes no barber shops. A good street photo.

Ah, lovely! My kind of scene, my kind of picture! I love this one, Abmdsudi. Whenever I travel, I make a point of going to a barber like this one, at least once. (Unlike at home, where I stay away from hairdresser, being more of a do-it-myself person:))
