Photographer's Note

Children are always a delight in Vietnam and always great subjects to shoot and fun to work with not only because they are able to give us lots of expressions on their faces but they also amazingly manage to look quite similar universally no matter what conditions!

This Red Dzao kid was rather shy in a playful mood looking into my lens when shutter was released from some distance with an aperture full open allowing me to register his facial features. The innocence's head gear is part of the traditional dress code, his ethnic profile that distinguishes it from other tribal people.

Taken on a cold hazy afternoon in a small hamlet in Tha Phin about 15km from Sa Pa, home to some colourful and flamboyant ethnic Red Dzao hill tribe.

Kids being kids wherever they are ....
