Photographer's Note

A happy moment I have had with these adorable mountain kids -the Black Hmong kids who were excited and curious but one scared enough of me with my camera to hide in the folds of her mom's skirt!! They indeed are wonderful loving sweeties putting on a bit of a show for my lens and there is nothing like the innocent play of children to warm the heart- being always a great subject to register on camera and fun to work with not only because they are able to give us lots of expressions on their faces but they also amazingly manage to look quite similar universally no matter what conditions.

This photo was taken in Lao Chai Black Hmong village, a remote hamlet about 10km south of Sapa nestled among the hills on a cool cloudy morning after a slow bumpy motor bike ride along muddy unpaved mountain road. The colours and the people of this place are part of the unforgettable experience of visiting this peaceful place as well as being lucky to catching some memorable shots.

Hope the looks in their faces lead to good life.......
