Photographer's Note
One year already .... 05.06.08 .... I started to be member of this amazing TE group of fantastic people of all around the world who like the photography, who like travel, who like to capture the best moments, the most beautiful landscapes, awesome architectures and unforgettable memories. Thanks to all of you with your critiques and suggestions. I have learned a lot, and still I will be learning with all of you.
I wish to share with you the day I travelled to Cog Ly, near Lao Cai, up in the mountains near the chinese region of Yunnan. The market was on and it was really a wonderful experience with such overwhelming colors. The Red H'Mong celebrate every tuesday their market in this little landscape called Cog Ly. The different ethnic groups have a very special culture with their own language. I travelled from Hà Nôi to Sa Pa during one day by bus. Trekking to the different villages of these ethnic groups is a must. The paddy fields, the markets, the people, it's an incredible experience.

Greetings Roser,
I am surprise no one has comment on this yet. Among many of your images from Vietnam, I think this is one of the better if not best. Perhaps you are close to the subject and that allow you to get some really good details. I love it, the colors of the Hmong traditional wear and the pattern and colors are clearly visible.
My suggestion for you in the future is to also conside lower yourself to her level, like sitting down so you can see her more at eye level rather than looking down toward her. Anyway perhaps she was very shy and didn't want to face the camera anyway. Just something to think about when photographing. I also sit down to photograph Children, so you're always at their level.
Have a good weekend, my friend.

Hola Roser,

Hi Roser
It's an interesting picture of daily life in Vietnam and you have composed it cleverly. As I can see you did not have the best weather in Vietnam, but by using the blue shade the woman is using to protect her from rain and sun, you have produced a very well composed picture with a "blue sky". The colors are very vibrant and the details are very clear and sharp. Well done
Best regards
Urs
