Market in Cantho, a photo from Can Tho, Mekong River Delta

Photographer's Note

This is near the market in Cantho. This one was easily noticeable amongst all other greyish boats.
With the hindsight, I've never seen as colorful markets in SEA as along the Mekong river. It's a photographer dream.

I miss just a little bit of sharpness & light on the man's face, but the pink fruits and the green of the leaves make this shot really great!

Interesting, nice, well composed, quite a bit of depth in the picture. Seems it was an overcast day with high color temperature. Probably slight correction of hue into red/yellow direction, and, as Vivianne said, a bit more sharpness would improve the picture.

background is incredibly distracting, but subject itself and nice red fruit is lovely. It is, in fact, better than i managed at the markets around Cantho, partially cause i got out there too late in the day- lighting sucked. i think that the shot could use a bit of sharpening.

wonderfully alive. I find nothing distracting. that's pretty much as busy as it normally is.

yup, that's one of the markets I visited this morning, it was fun, I hope I got sth interesting from there too.. I was trying to shot another version of paddleorama, but unfortunately I couldn't get many paddles in one frame... greetings from Cantho

i missed that one from you luko.. i was not yet a member at that time... this is a brilliant shot. i even thought for a minute that it was a b&w shot with some desaturation that kept only tomatoes and some green plastic chair in color;-)) a very busy scene but well mastered by this strict compo; congratulations ludo!

I really like the red in the midst of this very muted scene. Maybe you could even experiment with upping the saturation of the red to emphasise it further?
