Photographer's Note
The Mekong is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia. It is the world's twelfth longest river and the seventh longest in Asia.
Its estimated length is 4,350 km and it drains an area of 795,000 km2, discharging 475 km3 of water annually.
From the Tibetan Plateau the river runs through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
Just before it enters Vietnam, the Bassac River is the first and main distributary of the Mekong. This marks the beginning of the Mekong Delta.
Then, in the deep south of Vietnam the Bassac and the main Mekong splits up in a delta of countless arms, including the Mỹ Tho River, the Ba Lai River, the Hàm Luông River, and the Cổ Chiên River.

I have sat down and am ready to begin the ride along the Mekong River. Thank you for leaving me room to sit. Looks like rain ahead. Your fine colors bring out the muddy look and view point show a wide section of river ahead. How far are we going today? David

Hello Benny,
During my last journey to Vietnam, going from Saigon to Phu Quoc, the most interesting experience was a long day trip by this kind of boat in the vicinity of Can Tho. I was glad to see so much more than the usual floating markets. I was less glad when we had an engine failure and were stuck in a narrow canal for quite a while. I enjoy this composition for the inclusion of a part of the boat (including a rope and a plant), the nicely shaped clouds and the many brown tones of the water. This time you almost got back to a song title reference.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Benny
That must have been a great journey to make. I love that broad open expanse of the river and superb perspective with the lead in lines from the boat and river reflections. Very evocative tranquil place, I guess you can almost hear the forest sounds when the engine is off where the whole experience is very exciting. The pretty cloud scape, brown tone and bits of blue and green leaves on board combine to make a great contrasting colours! Wonderful shot
Best regards

Dag Benny,
Goed foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten uit Oost-Vlaanderen,
John

Hallo Benny,

Hi Benny
Slow boats are the only way to travel the Mekong delta area.
This gives a good view of it. Well taken.
cheers

Salut Benny,

Hello Benny,
Great use of the boat's prow, to make viewers feel that they are experiencing the view from the boat.
The yellowish f/g colours make a really attractive contrast with the cloudy, blue sky. The light is very effective on the water.
Plants growing in the boat! Are my eyes deceiving me!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Benny,
Good perspective using the prow of the boat as an arrow head to the horizon. Excellent sharpness and nice reflection. The fruit tree in transit adds a splash of fg greenery. Tfs!
