Photographer's Note

A street candid in Khiva bustling market as I passed by this scene. It was packed!! it was almost impossible to hold the camera up to take a shot for more than two seconds, before being bumped into or have people walk into your shot. In the end, I just had to move back switching to long lens but even that was very hard to do, and the shots had to be grabbed. What fascinated me most about this event, was the splash of colours involved and the layout that everything was arranged so neatly, and of course the woman you see here, was getting into the spirit of it though, selling her wares from one of the many many stalls here.

I would liked to have been able to take my time over the shots, and taken more but had no choice but to click and move on. I managed just one hurried shot of her, but i'm quite pleased with the result. If a picture is worth one thousand words, what could her smile possibly bring??

Getting a complete stranger to smile indeed is pure joy and solace ...
A graceful charm of Uzbek woman.......
