Lady in red from Samarkand, a photo from Samarkand, East

Photographer's Note

As I have written a few days ago, in the morning of my last day in Samarkand, I went for a walk in the old part of the city, where there are no tourists. Not far from the Ak Saray Mausoleum where I met the girl with a cute cat, I saw this lady in red with a broom. I found the view rather funny. Why she had a crown? When she saw me, she stopped sweeping and posed for a moment. Her dress is typical in Uzbekistan. The narrow trousers, often with some decoration at ankles. To this a long dress from the same tissue, usually very colourful.
Nothing special but I like this picture.

I uploaded the wrong picture but I do not want to lose the day. It is too big (and should be cut in the upper part).

in the WS, thats quite the set of eyebrows haha, beautiful women, beautiful clothing, and look at the head gear she is wearing. Not to worry, all 3 photos are worthy of posting. its great to see what the locals are wearing, wonderful cultural image of people doing their daily chores. cheers

Rather a strange outfit for a lowly street sweeper. The predominant reds make her stand out nicely from the beige toned wall. All in all an interesting and unusual daily life composition very well presented.
