Photographer's Note

It was a dusty januari afternoon in 1986 when our train from Bangkok,830 km up North, arrived in Southern Thailand.
A very small boat brought us to Koh Phangan,it was long before it became the trendy party island like it is now...
We were picked up by some locals with old moterbikes and driven to our small huts over sandy roads.
No electric, only some oil lamps or candles, and the only sounds we could hear was from the calm sea in front of us and some dogs.
Some good Thai sea food was served and then came that superbe yellow sunset, like Ive never seen again,it was all so simple but on the other hand so unique....
