Photographer's Note

A more conventional touristy' shot. The islands off the Andaman coast south of Phuket are truly amazing. A short 1 hour plane trip gets you out of the congested, noisy and polluted scene of Bangkok..and you can find your own little piece of paradise. This coast was badly hit by the Tsunami of 2004 and just 50 metres away from where this shot was taken, read a sign..informing you that the water level that day hit 4 metres. I did not have a polarizing filter and I had loaned my grad ND to a friend. It was not easy getting an exposure reading. I have sacrificed the shadow detail in order to get an exposure which was usable.
Uncropped, some burning in and dodging.
