Photographer's Note
At Ban Tong Luang, a village of mixed hill-tribes set up for tourists, kids play with their friends and siblings. The main attraction being the long-necked Karen (Kayan), there are also Palaung, Akha, Karen, Mien (Yao), Hmong and Lahu people there. The gate fee (500฿) goes to the owners and managers of the village , whilst the occupants make and weave traditional products which they sell to tourists. Most of the kids go to school unlike some of the similar villages in more remote locations. This is near the Mae Sa elephant camp at Mae Rim North of Chiangmai city.
