Photographer's Note

Two monks walk by the main entrance inside a temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I was talking to a novice monk when I saw this scene transpire, excused myself, and shot. Unfortunatly, I did not have time to change the settings on my camera.

This temple was a blur of activity as several monks prepared to "send off" the novice I was talking to.

He would be returning to Om Koi, his home.

The novice would be taking blankets for distribution to various hill tribe people who were in need of them due to the onset of winter.

It is a common practice around the temples of northern Thailand.
