Photographer's Note

I don't have lots of photos from Thailand. In fact, I was there twice this summer, both more or less transits between other countries. The first time I just drove through Bangkok between two different airports, while this second time two weeks later, I stayed for almost 20 hours.

Me and my friends crossed the border from Laos in the afternoon by car. A driver was ready to drive us three hours from the border to the airport in Chiang Rai, a city in the extreme north of Thailand. From there we had a flight back to Bangkok. Safely back there, I stayed the night in a private home and left to Malaysia the next morning.

During the three hour drive, I saw mostly wetlands like this. It's a mountainous area and the roads are as winding as the roads here in Western Norway. Sorry about the quality on this one, I just didn't get any better photos from my short time in Thailand, but it shows how the majority of the region Chiang Rai looks like.
