Photographer's Note
Do you like it? Hmm, I just was shoked by this view.
See in WS two another photos from this ... this temple.
Sanctuary of Truth, also called Wang Boran and Prasat Mai) is a temple construction in Pattaya, Thailand. The sanctuary is an all-wood building filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist and Hindu motifs. The building is close to 105 meters (345 feet) high and covers an area of more than two rai. It features contemporary Visionary art based on traditional religious themes. The project was initiated as an idea of Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant in 1981, and is scheduled to be complete in 2025.
The style of the Sanctuary evokes Khmer architecture, displaying hand-carved wooden sculptures indicative of the imperial setting at Angkor. It has four gopura, respectively representing images from the Buddhist and Hindu religions and mythologies of Cambodia, China, India and Thailand.[1] According to the official website, its purpose is to use art and culture as "a reflection of the Ancient Vision of Earth, Ancient Knowledge, and Eastern Philosophy. Within this complex, visitors will understand Ancient Life, Human Responsibility, Basic Thought, Cycle of living, Life Relationship with Universe and Common Goal of Life toward Utopia"

Bonjour Serghei,
J'aime beaucoup le titre. Il semble convenir à merveille à cette image. Ce temple n'est pas très coloré si on le compare aux autres mais il a quelque chose de spécial et de mystérieux.
Amicalement

Hello Serghei,
It's good to have one person in front of the temple to get an idea of its impressive size. There must be hundreds of these remarkable temples in Thailand, most of them showing the marvellous skill of the local architects and craftsmen. The picture is tightly cropped, probably leaving out less attractive surrounding details.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi,
I like it, why not? The wooden sculptures inside are similar to those in Burma, but here it looks very strange indeed. IO have never seen such figures on the endings of the roofs. And it is huge, the tiny figure of the man gives us the sense of scele. Good contribution to TE, I see it for the first time.

Hello Serghei, Quite a bit different from the temples that I have seen in Thailand over the years. It is very interesting and I am sure that there are some interesting gods surrounding it. I wonder how the klongs are doing there. I have many pictures of these canals and the waterfront markets etc. I would post more, but i play golf or practice it, almost daily and have little time for photography anymore. Maybe I will get to your area one day. Spent three days in St Petersburg several years ago. Delighful place. Regards, Roger
