Photographer's Note
Swaddee Krub everybody,
Songkrang 2008,This is the sequel from my previous post. This ogre name "Mungkornkrun".This was one of twelve statues on main gate around gallery of wat prakaew that had inspired from Ramayana epic that also in thai version.
For post process,Firstly I croped then use curve a little bit to composition and adjust contrast. Secondly,I duplicat layer to split sky layer and use gradient effact and cooling filter for sky area.Thirdly,I use color balance and hue/saturation tool to adjust the color for architecture. Finally,I used smart sharpen, framing and resize to finish.
For information in brife: Phra Si Rattana Chedi, which it's claimed (somewhat improbably) houses ashes of the Buddha.Phra Mondop, in the middle of terrace, is a library built in Thai style by Rama I, known for its excellently crafted Ayutthaya-style mother-of-pearl doors, bookcases containing the Tripitaka (sacred Buddhist manuscripts), human- and dragon-headed nagas (snakes), and statues of Chakri kings.Prasat Phrathepbidorn(The Royal Pantheon), with full size statues of the first seven kings of the reigning Chakri dynasty (Rama I - Rama VII). Only open on April 6th, the anniversary of the founding of this dynasty.

Hi patshoo, very unique POV, usually photographers focus on the statue, but in your case you've out-stand in this idea, the colors are perfectly balanced. very well done.

Hi Patshoo,
A well known location, not that easy to make something new from it. But here this lower pov where the statue is becoming real huge is well composed and with the palace in the background it looks very interesting.
Nice creative work, i like it.

Bonjour Patshoo,
un clin d'oeil bien coloré sur les richesses de l'art asiatique, très ciselé et riche, une contre plongée avantageuse pour le sujet.
Regards.
Daniel.

Yo Patshoo.
Very good angle, looking up gives the Ogre a dominating position in the frame, I guess that's what Ogres do. I like your composition, good balance between the sky, building and Ogre. As usual for Thailand, the colours are stunning. Impressive shot.
cheers

Hi patshoo
The angle loos fine to build some interaction between the two plans, I think this view has potential for pushing the highlighs more and get more vivid colors.
Have a nice day jY

Hello Patshoo
The POV & framing is something which makes this shot special. I remember the statue as well as the structure of the Wat very well. The gradient filter works well for the sky. But what a wonderful way to show a structure, which has been pictured & showed so many times! I like your framing & the text on it...very elegantly done. Fine work!
Regards
Angshu
