Photographer's Note

I believe this is a small (lesser) egret. They are quite common here in Taiwan, and I think quite an attractive bird. I watched this guy catch dozens of small fish in the pond at the Taipei Botanical Garden, just one after the other. The fish themselves were tiny, about the size of something i have in my aquarium at home. I would love to become a Callie and shoot lots of exotic birds, but for now, I will have to be happy with some of the more common avian members of Taiwan's society.

Shot from a Tripod, slight crop, normal PS processing.
