Photographer's Note

I have been training in Kuk Sool Won for almost 4 years now. This is one of Korea's traditional martial arts and possibly it's least known. It's current time frame, it has only been around for about 30 years but it's styles and teachings date back thousands of years. Kuk Sool Won's styles incorporate Buddhist styles, royal court styles, and original tribal styles. These teachings were hidden during the Japanese occupation and then revitalized by Grand Master Suh, In Hyuk.

I have had the pleasure of studying with some of the area's masters and meeting Korea's top masters. They have taken me to the world championships and allowed me to understand a lot more about this wonderful martial art.
