Photographer's Note

From Wikipedia: "Jindo Island is an island in South Jeolla province, South Korea. It lies just off the southwest corner of the Korean peninsula. It is separated from the mainland by the Myeongnyang Strait; however, this strait is now spanned by South Korea's longest suspension bridge, the Jindo Bridge (completed 1983). The island makes up the great majority of Jindo County. The Korea Jindo Dog is native to this island."

Another shot taken in 1984, showing both spans:

A duplicate lane has been built since 1984, with a paler orange support structure. Jin Do is on the left of the frame. There is a car parked at right, in the fg, for scale.
