asian "cheese!", a photo from Seoul, North

Photographer's Note

Girl walking on the street in Myongdong saw that I was taking photos and seemed egar to have me take her photo but not egar enough to stop. She just turned aroudn and smiled at me and gave me the peace thing as she continued to walk. hand is in focus with face blured a bit using neat image.

HUmm Adam suggested that I title the photo. Im horrible with titles and I am open to suggestions from people. as someone mentioned the V or peace sign is rather common in many countires in asia hence asain "cheese" as is common in the US at least.... I hear that they say kimchi in korea when having thier pictures taken. really Im serious about that.

Striking shot, the central V of her fingers is very strong, and I like the softening you did on her face. And she'll never know what a good pic you made (unless she reads TE!)

I love this portrait, what a beautiful young woman!! The emphasis on the "peace" sign is striking! Dof works fabulously, very well done!

Very nice portrait, and good you have focused on the 'V', not her face. Interesting so see that the 'V' seems to be a standard photo pose in Korea too; everybody does it in mainland China.

I like your asian urban youth pictures. This one is great. I would have preferred if you hadn't blurred her face, had it been a DOF thing it would have worked I think, but it looks artificial. I thought NeatImage the moment I saw it.

Very nice image boof, I do like the image alot, even with the blur you can see her angelic features. the peace sing is also cool, it must have been hard to get such a shot whilst moving, I guess you were hoping to get her whilst she was not moving huh?

Is funny... Every time I took a shot of a japanese, they have done this signal... Actually, I really trust they first reaction for the word 'shot' is the 'V signal' :-) Anyway, a nice shot, cute girl! :-)
