Photographer's Note
This was taken at one of the main old gates of South Korea. Its name is Namdaemun, which means South Gate. I went there on occassion for the foreign goods being sold at the market nearby. On one trip, me and my friend came across this sad-looking old lady who was just sitting in a large grassy area. I think she must have been the "bird lady" because there seemed to be a few pigeons hanging around her.
I took most of my pictures of her using the color selector feature of the S2 IS, where you can specify a color to remain in the shot, and all other will be changed to B&W. It also saves a copy of the original full color shot, too.
I don't know what is was about this lady, but I felt sorry for her (for all I know she could be very happy).

Hi,
i like your photo. It looks very artistic and for me you managed to capture a moment in the life fo this woman. The green highlights you used managed to reflect perfectly the sadness that you felt surrounding this woman.

Hey Damon
Nice comp and it works well.
I think the frame is a little dark
drawing away from the image, maybe white.
Anyhow well done.
