Photographer's Note

On a rainy Saturday night in Singapore there is not much to shoot apart from atmosphere I guess. I went out looking for umbrella shots and decided to hang out here in front of Far East Plaza - a mall more on the Hong Kong style rather than Singapore glitz....no Cartier or Tiffany in here....but lots of money changers, grey market camera gear, electronics shysters of all kinds, Indian tailors and at one time exotic pubs for sailors arriving in port
I did enhance the gloominess a bit by sucking some of the colour out of the picture, but not by a lot...it wasn't a pretty night.
I like the shot from behind of this guy looking toward the plaza as probably many sailors would on the first trip to Singapore imagining the 'delights' inside
