Photographer's Note

A festive night to be had by all for the fireworks display. Thousands upon thousands of people decended upon the main harbour front in Singapore to take in the event. After the show was done, I captured these youngsters carrying on with their own fireworks display.

Post Production:
I brightened up the shadows, and toned down the bright/ overexposed areas of the sparklers, border added.

A picture at two levels .. the Fun and the boy in front with a look of Ghost ..

That kid is lit in a kindof eerie way. It matches his expression though, and is so incongruous with the happiness of the background... and that's cool. I don't know though, maybe this would be better in b/w? Nice shot man!

Hi Dan, You scared the kid! At least, he does not look very happy. But he's got a nice light in his face and body. And the picture indeed shows the festivities very well.
Did you use a high ISO value? There's quite some noise on the boy's face.

nice picture Dan.. i like the different colors and the fireworks and the 'fun' element; but i too noticed, the kid on the right looks a little ghostly

Fine capture in the special light and with all the activities. Strange colour effect on the boy in the foreground makes the pix look like a montage. Well done.
