Photographer's Note

This bike travel started from Ukrainian town of Chervonopartizansk, and then went thru Russia, Georgia and Turkey. On the first day I rode via such cities in Rostov oblast of Russia as Gukovo and Shakhti. The word “Shakhti (Шахты)” means “Coal Mines”. The cathedral in the picture was built at the Shakhti’s main street, Sovetskaya, where formerly there was the city’s tram depot. This cathedral is dedicated to Pokrov Presvyatoy Bogoroditsi.
