Photographer's Note

August 22 is the Russian Federation Flag Day. On that day in 1991 there was funeral rally on the perished during the 1991 coup d'état attempt, and president Yeltsin declared about the new state flag of Russia. On that day this year I was in the town of Ust-Labinsk, where holiday atmosphere was visible very well mainly due to plenty of white-blue-red flags everywhere. Three of them got on my bike.

Many people spent this holiday at the new church of Sergiy Radonezhskiy (its address is Demiyan Bedniy’s Street, 197). The church was inaugurated in 2007. The diameter of its main cupola is 8.5 m and the height is 8 m, the length of the biggest cross being 6.5 m.
