Oldest polar ice-breaker in the world, a photo from Saint Petersburg, Northwest

Photographer's Note

So this is a shot of the main deck of museum ice-breaker "Krasin". Made in 1915, it's the oldest polar ice-breaker in the world. There are ice-breakers, like "Tampa" in Finland, that are older, but "Krasin" is the oldest open-seas ice-breaker. It saved Nobile polar expedition after its disaster in 1928; during WW II it participated in Polar Convoys.
Now it's the museum in St-Petersburg.

A nearly "venerable" ship in an obviously good status! If it could speak ...
For me, as a landlubber, it doesn't look very old at all. Thank you for showing this! I've learnt something new!

Fine lines in this old beauty!
I guess this is a navy vessel since it is so well maintained and apparently still in good shape but of course old-fashioned tech wise...
I like the composition, good details and a fine feeling of depth!
