Photographer's Note
Still being very impressed by the Yussupov Palace I decided to post another shot from inside for you. This is the entrance of the theater in the palace wher performances still take place as to date we were told. The theater itself is very small (there is space for about 180 people) and so I was not able to take photos of the entire theater inside. But the hallway itself is already a nice motive I found. The great thing about Russian museums is that if you buy a separate "photo ticket" you may take pictures everywhere inside except for temporary exhibitions (but be careful about bringing a tripod, then you are being regarded as a professional photographer and have to pay much more!). As there were hardly any visitors on Monday except for us there were no people standing in my way and I just placed the camera on the floor in order to get a clearer shot. The walls inside the palace are all painted in different and usually very bright colours and some are covered with fake marble (I think it is probably plaster).

Hi Ulrike
I really like the point of view of your shot. It was a good
idea tu put your camera on the ground. The colors are the art
works of this theater are also very beautiful. I like the
depht in your shot. Interesting and instructive note too.
Regards
Quentin
