Photographer's Note
On the Baltic Sea in July, the sun's influence never does completely vanish. From the deck of a cruise ship leaving St. Petersburg at midnight, the light stretched across the horizon, the rest covered in darkness.

Andrew,
I love it when a great photo results from breaking a basic rule - don't cut a photo in half. It serves a purpose in this case. Wonderful rich colours in difficult conditions. A really nice composition.

Hi andrew
the little noise does not limit here the sense of infinity of this pic, made of a passing of time. very charming, very moody.

Hi Andrew,
This is a real eye catcher, and for some reason, as soon as I seen it I thought of the Salvador Dali painting, Christ of St john on the cross, without the cross of course. This works perfectly and makes a stunning composition, one which I can see many people happily paying for in a frame. Thanks for sharing!
regards

Hi, Andrew,
Very simple composition, but I like this presentation of the Baltic Sea. You have colored your map with this post by brown color for 50% ))) It reminds me my shot of a rising over Asia from jet.
Best wishes from Ural,
Serghei
