Photographer's Note

Across a footbridge from the Novgorod kremlin is old Novgorod's market, with remnants of a 17th-century arcade facing the river Volkhov. During some centures Novgorod was the biggest market center of Europe staying on the road from the Varangians to the Greeks. Here, in the court, many of foreign merchants traded. So the court (that has been destroyed during WWII) is restorated in nowadays by the special fund which is founded by Europeans in memory of medieval cross-countries trade traditions. Hope you enjoy that. Regards.
