Photographer's Note

These are the north-west outskirts of the big village of Alexandrovskoe, the administrative center of the Alexandrovskiy District of Stavropol Kray. The village is famous for plenty of natural stone sculptures scattered on the hills to the west from it. There are “Frog”, “Camel”, “Elephant”, “Turtle” and many others.

The hill in the picture is called as Frog Mount, because the biggest (around 4 m high) rock, Frog is situated there. You can see it at the left end of the rock formation. But from this point of view it does not look like a frog, but more like a monkey. From the opposite side of the hill the Frog Rock looks just like in the painting by Vladimir Bravkov. His picture and mine together give some kind of 3D-image of this main tourist attraction of Alexandrovskoe. The second figure to the right evidently is the Camel; at least, its two humps are visible pretty well.
