Photographer's Note

12 years ago I posted my first picture on TE. I didn't suppose that I would be so addicted to this site. During these years I travelled to more than 50 countries and I shared almost 3500 pictures. I am a traveller and not a photographer. I try to take good photos but the most important is that they are interesting and original. What I liked just from the beginning was that I met here the people - friends - of different nationalities, age, education, job, religion. I met many people personally. And it is very sad that most of these friends have left the site.
I visit well-known places but it is a greater satisfaction when I can present less shown views.

St. Peter is the first sea yacht of the young Tsar Peter I.It was built in Arkhangelsk by royal decree in the spring of 1693. The builders of the yacht were the Dutch shipwreckers P. Bass and G. Jansen, and their decorations were made by the “carving master” F. Ievlev.

Peter I first went to sea on "St. Peter" on August 6, 1693, while visiting Arkhangelsk. The young king accompanied the departing Arkhangelsk Dutch and English merchant ships and reached with them to the eastern shores of the Kola Peninsula. In May of the following year, 1694, he again arrived in Arkhangelsk, from which, again on the St. Peter yacht, sailed to the Solovetsky Islands, and then accompanied by another caravan of merchant ships leaving Arkhangelsk to Cape Svyatoy Nos, in other words, to exit to the ocean.

Thank you very much for your friendship. :)
