Photographer's Note

A glimpse into the third class waggons at the Transsiberian Railway (train number 8) from Novosibirsk to Vladivostok. Aparently the waggons have no aircondition so people have to find a different way to cope with the heat inside. We were on our way to Ulan-Ude and at the first long stop at the Krasnoyarsk train station we had about 30 minutes to get off and walk around before the train left again. In the third class waggons there is not really lots of space but it is certainly the cheapest option to travel on this train (although I heard that there is even one more - lower - category but I have not seen it on this train). Temperatures were around 28 celsius that morning and we were happy to have booked a higher class with some privacy.
