The Museum
The Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture (in open air)

Architectural-ethnographic museum "Taltsy" is a unique storage of history and culture of the peoples of Eastern Siberia. The museum is located in a picturesque place on the right bank of the Angara River in about 67 hectares

It is composed of more than 40 historical and architectural monuments and 8000 exhibits of great historical value. The decision to build the museum was taken on January, 9, 1966. Having become a branch of the Irkutsk State United Museum, it received its first visitors in 1980.
During summer, there are a café, antique workshops, and souvenir shops on the territory of the museum

The Photo
Visiting it during summer is great because (if you have time) there are various activities, driving old carriages, watching artisans at work, (in the execution of souvenirs), try your aim with darts and to my surprise I found this camel quietly waiting for its owner
All this surrounded by natural old thick vegetation, with the Angara River at the back
Really a Museum that deserved a visit

How to get there
Situated on the route from Irkutsk to Lake Baikal, the Museum is opened every day from 10.00 to 16.00 in winter, from 10.00 to 18.00 in summer
