Interior of Church of Elijah, the Prophet, is covered with murals. There is a kind of covered veranda around the most important part of the church and here we can see a part of it. These murals in evidence have parts of the "Wisdom's Book" where it is presented like a queen.

O interior da Igreja de Elias, o Profeta, é coberto de murais. Há uma espécie de varanda coberta que rodeia toda a parte mais importante da igreja e aqui vemos um pedaço dela. Os murais que aparecem mais em evidência pertencem ao "Livro da Sabedoria", aqui representada na forma de uma rainha.

Hi Jorge,
indeed this seems like a extraordinary interior. This photo even better illustrates the uniqueness of this place as we see as well some context of the paintings. They seem to stretch further to the arcaded passage.

You have captured some very lovely, mural details and with this fine composition, have created an exit route, which gives a really good impression of depth and shows us how the murals are so wonderfully included on the entire wall surfaces!

What a fantastic church interior!
So many colourful paintings on the walls, the columns and the ceilings.
Nice to see some murals from closer by and at the same time a view further down the hall to get a better picture of the whole.

Preciosa foto que nos da una idea de como son estas iglesias por dentro, aunque yo tengo muy frescos los recuerdos, pues como el año pasado fuimos a Rumania, vimos muchos monasterios ortodoxos todos pintados.

This image has better exposure and contrast than the previous upload. A superb capture of these interesting religious frescos. The decorations along the bottom wall look almost Babylonian! Tfs!
