SENATSKAYA TOWER, a photo from Moscow, Center

Photographer's Note

Kremlin of Moscow is a big castle surrounded by high ramparts and twenty towers.
Senatskaya Tower is 34 meters high and was built in 1491 by an Italian architect, protecting the Kremlin in the side of the Red Square. --- In the next days I will post an image of it in the Red Square.
This tower had no name until 1787, when it was built the senate in the Kremlin and that building gave the tower its name. There was a gilded weather vane up there around 1860, after revolution it was topped by the red star.
Behind this tower is the Red Square.

O Kremlin de Moscou é um grande castelo rodeado de altas muralhas e vinte torres.
A Torre Senatskaya tem 34 metros de altura e foi erguida por um arquiteto italiano em 1491 para defender o castelo do lado da Praça Vermelha.--- Daqui alguns dias vou mostrar uma foto dessa mesma torre vista da Praça Vermelha.
Essa torre não tinha nome até 1787, quando ergueram o prédio do Senado nas proximidades e ela ganhou o seu nome atual. Havia um catavento dourado no topo por volta de 1860, mas depois da revolução puseram uma estrela vermelha lá em cima.
Atrás dessa torre fica a Praça Vermelha.

Hello Jorge,
It's a nice tower but I get an impression it's made of gingerbread with a marzipan roof. You found a nice gap between the trees for the photo. The clouds were very dark but the light was still okay.

Jorge, the tower is perfectly centered in the frame. It is surmonted by a star and comprises a clock. That monument adds beauty to the Red square. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards

Hello Jorge,

This is a fine introduction to the Kremlin.
The tower is clearly recorded, its bricks, its decorative elements, its clock and its crowning gold star.
I like how you have used the nearby trees to give a natural border, adding to the sense of height of the tower but not overpowering it!

Hello Jorge,
A well-known tower in Moscow, which you show here in a good vertical composition, which has got a nice natural frame created by the many trees. The light was pleasant as well and makes a fine combination with the cloudy sky.

Hi Jorge,
this is a beautiful picture! The tower quite famous is so attractive, stylish and colorful but on top of that you had a fantastic light conditions there. The well lit tower is set against the darker clouds in the background and framed with the vegetation on both sides.
