Photographer's Note

This shot is also in the winter range of colors, and these of course also affect the human mood.

I see the gray sky, gray air I breathe, my mood was gray now ... I hope that the blood that runs through my veins is not yet gray ...

Jude Forese's poetry that I found, very well described by "The Grey Mood" and the icy sky

When you first arrived
the snow was falling,
the wind swirling snowflakes onto your hair

hawks flew into the trees
tending nests …

we walked into our snow globe milieu
inside our special sphere of mystery

where time is suspended
and hopes linger forever
where the powers of love are as imposing
as the wind feeding our dreams …

you revealed a heroic quest
to surround my heart
with your poetic zeal

or at least throw me a lifeline
as i thread within the waters
inside your flowing thoughts …

yet somehow something spooked you
for you left quite unexpectedly
as though you were never there

to walk the forest by myself at midnight
departing without reason or motive,
without words filling surprise

as i continued walking through the snow
i watched your ghostly presence
move away like thawing mist

and as i glanced to the ground
it seemed like quicksilver
revealing no footprints but my own
sensing only wintry lips

and as the sky resonated
with snowless thunder
blood rolled from torn lips
congealing onto the ground

reflecting the icy sky
between us
