Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken when I go to Puerto Azul beach which is the resort of the suburbs of the Manila, Philippines 26 years ago. It is the distance of about two hours by the car out of Manila.

The history of Philippines:
Philippines is an island country located in Southeast Asia. The Spain fleet arrived at the Philippines for the first time as a European in the 16th century, and Spain made the Philippines the base of the Asia advance. The Philippine Islands was made into the Spain territory in the Zaragoza treaty in 1529. After that, Independence movement broke out by Jose Rizal's activity made into the father of independence of the Philippines at the end of the 19th century, and the first republic of the Philippines was achieved independence in the midst of Spanish American war. However, the supreme power of the Philippines was transferred to the United States from Spain by Paris Convention in 1898. Then, although put under occupation of Japan from the United States by World War II, by Manila treaty of the postwar in 1946, the organization of the Philippines Commonwealth was succeeded and the third republic of the Philippines promised from prewar days re-became independent.
