Photographer's Note

Immense, expansive and preeminent. thats how i would describe (or at least begin to describe) this scene... :)

i was driving away from town, (from Quetta city to Ziarat Valley) in an effort to escape the ever intesifying unrest that seems to have plagued the country...

upon seeing this beautiful scene, i stopped my car and stepped out to take its photo...

Scott kelby, a renowned photographer and author, says that one should 'marry' a tripod if one desires to take 'tack-sharp' photos even in broad daylight... and i totaly agree... because when i pixel-peep this one, i realize that it is slightly, very very slightly off... so dont forget to use your tripod next time :)

i did think of cropping this one several time, and the 16:9 crop was really looking good, but the 'no crop, original composition' demon got inside me and forced me to leave it intact :)

i added a SlideFilm filter to get the richer and more life-like colors, reminiscent of slidefilm, using Alienskin Exposure II :)

thanks for viewing, let's see what you think of this one :)
