Photographer's Note
Thank you all for all the encouragement in TE.
This is my 200th post and it is a shot of one of the more significant days of my trip to the Manang / Mustang region in North Western Nepal.
We were coming down from Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni, an on a sunny day, it can be windy, sweaty and at times, dehydrating. Particularly disturbing are the frequent 4-wheel drive vehicles carrying pilgrims in and out of Muktinath.
An alternative route from Muktinath to Kagbeni, that skips the road is by walking northwards across the Jhong Khola Canyon (Dzong - Fort) via Chhengar. This route looks far more appealing to me, not just because it avoids the dusty Jeep trails, but also because of its scenic beauty, the architecture of flat roofed houses that typifies the Sakya Sect of Buddhism. A normal walk takes me to Kagbeni in less than 4 hours.
This is a photograph of Dzong, from a point just above Kagbeni. Looking back at those huge humbling mountains on the other side, and the rows of houses that comprised of a population of less than 150, I waited for the brief period when the wind stops blowing and clicked.
Urge you to take a full-screen view of this shot.

Hi Arunava,
This is a beautiful place and reminds me of how humans can find residence I'm the most amazing places. The natural display of the mountains and sky is really impressive, and the whol village perfectly placed. That red building in particular is really striking.
Cheers

Hello Arunava,
This is a terrific view from what must be one of the most remote and exotic places in the world. Long ago it would have been a dream of my lifetime to come here, but now it is too late. You found a very good POV for this photo, but to be quite honest the colours seem a bit overdone and not entirely natural. I made a simple workshop and hope you won't mind.
Kind regards,
Gert

Namaste Arunava
A breath-taking landscape showing the extensive depth and feel of vastness making the eyes busy hovering around the scene. I think is what you do best here but on the minus side;
The colour is over saturated especially on the sky area which does not appear natural on my screen
Halo effect, you can view the haloish around the edges especially when you enlarge it greater than 100 percent, due to a strongly lit area exciting its less well lit neighbours. The only easy remedy I have tried is to lessen the exposure which carries with it.
Hope this explains, you may disagree with me, but that's my sincere constructive critiques hopefully this is acceptable. Appreciate your great effort coz 'You Dont Score If U Dont Shoot'
Congrats. tfs
Best wishes

Félicitations pour cette 200e publication. Le village lové au pied de la montagne est le témoin des ans qui passent.
Quant au ciel, il participe généreusement à la beauté d'ensemble.

Hello Arunava,
What a gorgeous landscape with these very impressive and spectacular mountains. The light is lovely and the town looks great against the background. The small and dramatic clouds look great too.
