Photographer's Note

Continuing this mini series of Nepal:

Taken in Bungamati by the side of a dark corner, a glimpse into a part of Newari farming village with its laid-back feel and huddle of traditional rustic redbrick houses which probably has not changed very much. Roaming around this quite & peaceful sight indeed says so much about the villagers day-to-day activity and conditions of the environment, but it's also startling to see how little the village has changed and it seems like going back in time so to speak.

Life is difficult imho from many aspects that I have seen and in this shot I have tried to highlight the dark angle of street life here. Sometimes it doesn't matter that an image beautiful or isn't perfectly focus - sometimes it's the feel, the atmosphere and the experience of seeing it that is enough - that's how this is for me.

A very quite early morning she seems to begin her routine totally unaware of my presence.
This is nothing out of the ordinary just how it is....
