Photographer's Note

This is late evening / sunset scanned shot made from Machapuchare Base Camp in Annapurna region in Nepal. You can see the clouds slowly ascending from the valley to the mountains. In the morning there was about 10cm of fresh snow.
Machapuchare (means Fish Tail in Nepali) is one of the most spectacular Himalayan peaks. Although it is not among the highest (6993 m) it's one of the most difficult and was never climbed on. Machapuchare from the late 50s declared sacred and from that time all climbs to it are strictly forbidden so it's likely that the peak will remain invincible in the future.
