Photographer's Note
Looking down the South face of Ama Dablam (6856m) to the Mingbo Glacier thousands of feet below taken from the SW ridge heading up to Camp 2.
If you look very, very closely and follow along the frozen river stretching out from the end of the glacier you can just make out the Sherpa village of Pangboche at the bottom of the right hand hillside. And even further along the village of Khunde is just visible where Ed Hillary funded a hospital and school. These are two of the places that all trekkers and expedition climbers pass through on their way to Everest Base Camp.
This shot was taken just below Camp 2 at a height of about 6100m (20000ft).

Paysage extra-terrestre à vous glacer les veines. La beauté et le mystère d'un tel paysage sont extrêmement bien représentés sur cette photo. On peut se dire heureux lorsque l'on se retrouve devant un tel paysage, que peu de personnes ont pu appercevoir.

Wouah ... superbe vision, une superbe vue de la montagne avec sa dureté,et son attirance ... sinon belle neteté de l'avant plan ...

I always enjoy seeing pictures of those really "trek earth" places like this one here. And it's not only a beautiful place, this is also a good photo: good colors and contrast, and smart framing by the rocks in the front.
