Really nice shot, good work with DOF. The background is interesting, one can tell that there's a lot going on but focus is still on the girl. Well captured.

Powerfull portrait... Sometimes I see a picture thinking that the photographer has achieved to catch up the inner person. It´s a feeling that the frame is much bigger of what we see. This happen to me with this work of you. Congratulations from Madrid, Tom.

Joli portrait Tom, la profondeur de champs est très bien choisie ce qui permet d'avoir le visage bien mis en avant l'arrière plan flouté.
Les couleurs sont également très jolie, tout comme cette jeune fille.

I like the way she is looking at you (but not facing you)
The DOF is really good here and the faded background makes it even more special
Did you try it in B&W ?
I did and made a WS let me know what you find of it

She is absolutely adorable. Pix speaks for itself, I must say, but still, Tom, you need to tell us more about how you approach your subjects sometimes (just a little hi/story of that moment) and your shot requirements, camera/lens-wise, if that is not a bore.

A fine portrait. It looks very relaxed and casual like she just turned her head and looked at you that second.

The lights in the background tells us a bit about the scene.

One of the best portraits I have seen so far on TE. What sets it apart, besides the technical quality, is the harmony of the warm colors and the intimate mood that it sets combined with the girl turning her head towards you, the expressive look in her eyes and the blurred background with the flames.

An outstanding photo.

I sharpened the photo just a bit (200%, 0.6 radius) and that works well bringing out the face but to be honest the photo does not necessarily need it.

très beau portait tom, il y a beaucoup de douceur dans ce regard qui est en meme temps interrogateur. je crois que les flammes floues(la pdc est bien sur excellente) complètent bien l'image. Mon seul regret est cette manche violette à gauche qui attire aussi le regard. mais dans tous les cas, quel regard (et dans quel environnement! monique et moi revons de retourner à bodnath!)

It is a great portrait, of an interesting and also pretty young girl. I take it, based on your scant note, she is praying?

DOF is very good, but she seems a bit soft around the edges. Her face is very well defined, though, which is the main subject of the image.

I like the composition. The blue fram, is the right colour, but a bit thick I think. It cuts off the very top of her hair on the top of the image.

I'd like to know more about her and the situation... it would be nice if you wrote a better note to accompany the image.
