Photographer's Note

One of the more interesting ways of getting around old Kathmandu congested urban areas is by rickshaw, a very popular basic mode of transportation for shot trips without adding further pollution to this already much polluted city.

Probably I could have walked faster than this rickshaw took me to Durbar Square, but then I would have missed all the fun of watching the rider pedal through nightmare traffic, sometimes with less than an inch to spare....

This panning shot was taken in the early morning before the main thoroughfare in Thamel got crowded.

Monopod mounted and I went for 1/15 sec.
