Photographer's Note

Whilst exploring around Murma tiny village with a lot of basic wooden houses around thirty minutes walk west of Nagarkot on the foot of Himalayas. Spotted this sweet Nepalese girl and her younger sister who initially were shy of me, however once they got used to my presence and fascinated by the camera, they were all smiles and wouldn't stop posing.

The children in Nepal on the whole are more approachable so the opportunities to photograph them is tremendous. Their shyness shows, but you still managed to get a full view of their faces and it's quite charming to warm the heart of a loner photographer.

... of course in Asia unlike in some countries, permissions not required from their parents!!

Setting: 200 mm, 1/2000 sec, F4.0, ISO Raw 200, 1639 hrs & polarised

it would be so interesting to learn about this child's life right now, as this girl would now be about 11-13 years old.
its a sweet family shot, even if the child isn't totally clean.
the eye contact is captivating, and I really enjoy the close up composition. well captured my friend. cheers

A charming portrait of the little girl, the elder sister looks rather shy. Very natural picture. In Asia the possibilities of street photography are enormous. And especially for the lonely old lady with the camera. Well done.
