Photographer's Note
This lady was one of the hawkers selling imported Chinese purses in Dhubar Square. They cost $1 US. After a couple of days I bought one and snapped a photo.

caleb, something disturbs me with this shot. I think you got too close for this photo and I would have preferred a vertical frame rather than horizontal...apart from that excellent DOF and light;

Excellent DOF, light, sharpness. I like the blurred background too, except the large white part on the right.
Belonging to the past - traditional clothes, but living in the present - the rouge. One part of her face in the light, the other one in partially shadow. Showing and suggesting, letting place for fantasy.

Too close perhaps? A little spark in her eyes could have made this shot. But we can't do anything about the lighting. Stiil a nice shot with the sun reflected on her skin. Not at par with your very good shot though.

Tight and wel solved. The light is a bit hard, but you've done well here. I'm a little agree with Eleparc, but I think that a little crop from above would improve it as a portrait...
