The Maoists are partners with the political parties in the new government. BBC announced, yesterday maybe 500, 000 Maoists attended a mass meeting in Kathmandu. I watched them pass me on the street near my hotel. Banners, slogans, salutes, from comrades, and hapless villages forced to match along. Surprisingly on their best behavior, it was a peaceful day.

I am beginning to think you are an agent for the CIA, Gloria. You seem to turn up in all the most unlikely situations, camera in hand. This picture is a wonderful record ( rather journalistic!) od a dramatic event. You have some trouble with sharpness, I think. The Kodak shop sign is sharp but it is hard to find a really sharp face in the crown. Nevertheless, it's a great picture.

my lovely Kathmandu, i was there few times and i;m still comming back with my memories to this amazing town, and to my nepalian friends.

i'm so happy that maoist make peace with goverment :)
