Photographer's Note
This is a famous Swoyambhu nath stupa in Kathmandu. It lies over a hill which overlooks Kathmandu city.
It was a cloudy day. And I wish I had avoided that small kid climbing the wall. I didn't notice him until I view the picture in my computer screen.I am not an expert at cloning and it didn't come well when I tried to remove the kid.

nice stupa.. the picture is tilted a bit. and those two persons in the foreground are rather accidental, they don't bring anything to the scene, I think you shouldn't have included them...
I see a kid in the distance, not completely dresssed ;-) I thnk following him you could have captured some great scenes...
so, I think being in such great place you should have ended up with something a bit better, anyway, the stupa is nice, but a little scene with people and with the stupa in the background would be nicer!

I think the climbing kid is one of the only things that make this shot unique. I know I've personally taken way too many pictures of places/monuments only to realize later that the people pictures are the unique ones. But any photo is worth keeping.

a lovely scene and thanks for your comment on the stupa shot I took.
its sometimes really hard to recall the exact location a shot was taken at (and you have to admit those stupas look very much alike).
I think you couuld have used a bit of color enhancing in this shot, to bring out the wonderful colors, but its great as is too...

I like the kid, it is life! I like to walk here for pictures, always interesting! I like the birds too. As far ascolor, tht probably was the real colors, if the flags were a bit old. (Right now it is all clean and sparkly bright)! And I have to say, nothing is straight there, if I make something straight, the other things change to be crooked....

I think the child makes the picture more interesting, however I know how annoying they can be, so I’ve taken the liberty of removing yours (don’t worry, he’s perfectly OK). I also added a touch of saturation to enhance the gold. I hadn’t noticed it not being straight; most things in Nepal aren’t anyway.
