Photographer's Note

'Dhakatopi' hat is a symbol of Nepalese nationality and is a part of their national dress commonly worn by men throughout the country. I was very much attracted to a visual standout of this pleasant looking speccy
gentleman amongst the crowds in a market place in Sauraha. He seemed very interested in me taking photographs of people and wanted me to take one of him. In countless streets the people I can meet are an
experience of its own, and portraying the faces has been of my great interest on my photo assignment here. It is the faces which define some of the cultural understanding that keeps me fascinated about the place.

The people’s warmth, smile, helpful nature and friendliness meets me in many places in Nepal.

Just another simple street portraiture of such a warm man of peaceful existence......
Can you see his hidden smiling eyes!
