Photographer's Note

This was taken from the lower deck of a ferry boat moored at a small pier in Pakokku during a brief stop on a twelve hour downstream journey on Irrawaddy river from Mandalay to Nyaung U. It's an excellent way to
go back in time and get a glimpse into local lives and it was an interesting sight with crowds of people waiting along the shoreline to load and unload goods from the boat with passengers came and went. Vendors
were running out to meet the approaching vessel shouting out their wares for sale.

It was such a colourful shooting opportunity, being one of most unforgettable sights during this journey.
This captivated me how she seemed like an artist in her own right.
